Convert .JAD to .JAR without any software!!!

A .JAR is a java archive file which is generally used as an installation file for devices which run java softwares . But most of us would also find that when we download a java app or game, we get a .JAD file which does not install the game. If tried to use it to install, we get an error stating that the jar file is not found.
.JAD stands for -"Java Application Descriptor" It is nothing but a file with description of the actual software(.JAR)
In order to convert the .JAD into the .JAR , we do not need any softwares... It can be done using the following steps :-



1.)Open the .JAD file using Wordpad or Notepad:

• Open Wordpad or notepad and chose your file through:  File-->Open and browse to the folder where your .JAD is present.

• In the list 'Files of type" Select ''All Documents''

• Select your .JAD file and open it:

• You get a list of MIDlet variables like this:

2.)In the list, copy the url present beside the variable: "MIDlet-Jar-URL:"

NOTE; Be careful while using notepad. In that, the variables are not orderly placed as in Wordpad. So, while copying the url, be careful not to copy the next variable also as the url!!

3.)Paste the url in the address bar of your browser and the download of the .JAR file begins when you press enter.

• Browse to the downloads list of your browser and TADA!!! you have the .JAR file.Upload it to yor device, install it and  have FUN.
